Welcome to Air Northwest: Special Operations

From time to time there will be new Special Operations flights available to our pilots. Some will take a bit of time to accomplish, and some are just short fun flights. Look them over and see which ones you want to fly. Special Operations flights are available to Captains and above, with one exception - The Blue Sky Club is reserved for ATP Captains Only.  It is important for Air Northwest pilots to fly Special Operations flights both to help their Hub bring in revenue to Air Northwest and to help support our relief efforts around the world.

Flight Reporting

You can use the hotlink at the top of this page to send a Special Operations Flight report.  The report will go to BOTH Stan Fitzgerald, and Andrew Cook.  Stan will record your flight in his Special Operations excel file.  (this is for awarding pins).

The Special Operations flight report does NOT go to your hub commander, so you will need to file a  REGULAR flight report so that both you and your hub get credit for the time flown.  You will find "Special Ops" on the drop down menu for the Airline Used and the aircraft you used will be on the Drop down menu for "aircraft".  If you have anything you need to say about your flight, add it in the comments section of the Flight Report.

One EXCEPTION to this is "Disaster Relief Flights" You will find a special report link on each of the Disaster Relief Flights webpages.

The Special Operations flight report has a drop down menu that lists all the Special Operations flights.  If you don't find the Special Operations flight that you just completed in the drop down menu, please send an email to Stan, and he will add that to the drop down.  If your confused about any of this just drop Stan and email and let him know what you did.

Special Operations Pins are awarded for every 10 Special Operations Flights.

The Special Operations division of Air Northwest is managed by the Director of Special Operations.  This position is held by Stan Fitzgerald at the present time.  The Current Special Operations Flights have been updated to x-plane Version 9.31 by Stan Fitzgerald, and there should be no problems with using version up to  9.50.  If you have questions regarding anything about this division, please do a post in the Forums! - There is a special section in the Forums for Special Operations.

Or you may contact Stan directly via email.
