Welcome to Alaskan Air Service, a direct subsidiary of Alaskan Airlines.
Alaskan Airlines itself is a wholy owned subsidiary of Air Northwest
Virtual Airlines.
Alaskan
Air Service (AAS) has been created to extend route coverage to the further
reaches of the Alaskan territory that the mother airline does not cover.
This coverage includes service to a large portion of the Central and
Southern Alaskan area. AAS operates on scheduled routes as well as charter
flights based on customer demands and desires. AAS has major hubs in
Anchorage, Fairbanks, Bethel and Dillingham. AAS agents are assigned
to each route destination to handle the passenger and/or cargo loads.
The
scheduled routes of AAS include many different types of terrain, craft
assignment as well as airport types. Flights will often times land on
packed gravel runways, or in the middle of the winter months, frozen
lakes and rivers serve as landing strips.
